As companies grow, their branding should do the same. Your branding and logo design are the first two things visitors see when they land on your website. From this moment, you have a fraction of a second to convince the said visitor that your business can be trusted with their money. A good logo and branding will do that.
How logo design will help your business grow
This post will go through the following five points for how logo design will help your business reach new heights.
Good logo design and branding build trust
A vectorized logo is crucial for marketing your business
The design of your logo communicates your values
A well-designed logo attracts new customers
Smart logo design sets you apart from the competition
Below you will find a checklist consisting of five questions. As you go through it, keep the design of your current logo in mind and be aware of how the questions make you feel about it.
Checklist for logo owners
1. Does your logo communicate that your business can be trusted?
When we begin our new lives as entrepreneurs, many create a quick logo to slap on the website. We find one or two neat fonts we want to use for our texts and perhaps a couple of colours that will go with the whole package. It does the job. As entrepreneurs excited to start working with our dreams, we want this step to be over quickly to get our hands dirty with the stuff that makes us tick.
It's surprisingly easy to find yourself in a situation where your business has grown, and you're making a good buck. However, your company still uses the logo you whipped up in Powerpoint on your social media profiles. Business is booming, but your logo says you are still selling products out of your garage.
Your returning customers might have learned to look past this detail. However, first-time visitors likely won't. If the design of your logo doesn't communicate that you are a serious business, your website will likely fail to build the trust with the client needed to seal the deal.

2. Is your logo design vectorized?
Chances are, the logo you started using when you founded your company isn't a vectorized logo. "Why does this matter?" you might ask. A vectorized logo design is crucial when you want to market your business.
You can apply a vectorized logo to any photo, website, magazine ad, or t-shirt in any size without worrying about losing quality or using the wrong format. It makes marketing (either on your own or with an agency) easy, as you won't have to mess with removing image backgrounds or worry about the logo's scale as you apply it to your material.
3. What is your logo design communicating?
As you read earlier, the logo is one of the first things a visitor sees as they land on your page. It's part of what makes up the all-important first impression.
So, take a look at your branding, and ask yourself: "What is this logo telling me?" Is it conveying the story about your company? Does it clearly show your unique selling point? Would you say it's the face of a professional business? If you are satisfied with your answers to these questions - great, your logo is doing its job. If these questions made you uneasy, it might be time to consider revisiting your logo design.

4. Is your logo design attractive?
Have you ever entered a shop only because its storefront appealed to you? I bet.
A well-designed logo can be a very effective tool for attracting new customers to your business. Not only does excellent logo design tell that your company is a legitimate business, but it can also invoke curiosity in the viewer, making them click the ad and get transported to your site.

5. Does your logo design help your company stand out?
A logo can help your company stand out from its competition. Featuring creative elements, being bold, or simply having a unique and unexpected logo design are all ways of standing out from the crowd (think of it as peacocking, but in the business world).
Showing your customers that you take care of your appearance (your logo) shows them that you take great care of your business - an excellent way to build trust.
